Drexel gets St. Francis (Pa.) at home
There are two games involving three city teams today, and while we’ll get to the other game in a bit, the first one involves Your 4-5 Drexel Dragons and the 3-5 Red Flash of St. Francis (Pa.) in a non-leaguer at the DAC. Yes, Drexel shoots just 39.7 percent from the field, but the Dragons have shot better than 40 percent in five of their last six games, and — perhaps not coincidentally — they have wins in five of their last six games. Drexel is also holding opponents to 39.3 percent shooting, which is pretty good. St. Francis, meanwhile, is led by 6-6 senior guard Devin Sweetney, who leads the team in scoring (17.5 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg), free-throw percentage (79.6) and steals (1.25 spg). He’s also knocked down 11 3s in just 29 attempts. As a team, the Red Flash are shooting 42 percent from the field and from the arc. These teams haven’t met in 17 years. Game tips at 1.
