Penn (finally) back in action tonight at Navy

penn logoYour Penn Quakers are still 0-4, just as they were 10 days ago after losing to Drexel at the P, since that’s the last time they played. Tonight, Penn gets back into the swing of things — well, sort of — when it plays at Navy (3-4) down in Annapolis, Md. We say “sort of” because the Quakers will have a 16-day break after hosting Albay on Tuesday and playing at Monmouth next Saturday. Interestingly, Penn has played Navy 80 times, with 57 wins — the most games and most wins the Quakers have against any non-Ivy team. 6-2 senior guard Chris Harris leads the Midshipmen by averaging 21.7 points. And 6-3 sophomore Jordan Sugars averages 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds. Navy, which is coached by former Villanova assistant Billy Lange, won this game last year at the P by 11 — its first win at the P-spot in exactly 49 years. Tip is at 7, and CBS College Sports is carrying it on live TV.
