La Salle to host Lafayette tonight at the Gola
Tonight at 7 at 20th and Olney, Your La Salle Explorers (3-2) host Lafayette (4-3) in the Explorers’ first game since that 27-turnover disaster against the Main Liners on Saturday. Lafayette, which plays in the Patriot League, is coming off a 58-56 loss to St. Peter’s in which it was outrebounded, 41-31. Before that, No. 18/19 Georgetown throttled the Leopards, 97-64. The Leopards’ leading scorer is 6-8 Jared Mintz (16.3 ppg), who has made 66 percent of his shots (39-for-59), which ranks 14th in the nation. And Lafayette coach Fran O’Hanlon is a Villanova grad.
