Foul troubles, rebounding hurt Saint Joe’s in loss to Rider

st joes logoGarrett Williamson battled foul trouble, and Saint Joe’s just couldn’t get it done on the glass in last night’s 81-73 loss at Rider (5-3). The game was played at a frenetic pace, with both teams off and running. The Broncs finished with a 44-32 rebounding edge and ended up doing a better job of getting to the basket. As a result, the Hawks lost their third straight after opening the season with three wins. Darrin Govens scored 10 points on 3-for-11 shooting, wheil Williamson had 11 — in just 22 minutes.

The Hawks (3-3) next play Sunday afternoon at Cornell.
