Foul troubles, rebounding hurt Saint Joe’s in loss to Rider
Garrett Williamson battled foul trouble, and Saint Joe’s just couldn’t get it done on the glass in last night’s 81-73 loss at Rider (5-3). The game was played at a frenetic pace, with both teams off and running. The Broncs finished with a 44-32 rebounding edge and ended up doing a better job of getting to the basket. As a result, the Hawks lost their third straight after opening the season with three wins. Darrin Govens scored 10 points on 3-for-11 shooting, wheil Williamson had 11 — in just 22 minutes.
The Hawks (3-3) next play Sunday afternoon at Cornell.
