We’ll get to the Temple and Penn games from last night, as well as to the mistake we made about Saint Joe’s — the Hawks play No. 7 Purdue tonight, not last night, as we told you here and here — but first we’re going to give you our quick preview of La Salle’s game against Tulane, which will be for fifth place in the Charleston Classic and which is scheduled to tip at 12:30.

The Explorers (2-1) put together their first solid, balanced game of the season in Friday’s easy win over Davidson. The Green Wave (1-2) has lost to Georgetown and Miami (Fla.), but it bounced back to beat Paterno State, 63-60, on Friday down in Charleston thanks to a late 3-pointer by Kevin Sims. Tulane, which plays in Conference Memphis USA and is located in New Orleans, also held the Paternos to just 30 percent shooting in that win.
