Penn picked to finish third in Ivy
Your Penn Quakers were picked to finish third in the Ivy League this week in a poll in which two voting members from each of the Ancient Eight’s media contingent had a say. It seems pretty obvious that Cornell is the team to beat, and we suppose we should be used to the idea that neither Penn or Princeton is no longer the automatic favorite, but it’s still odd. Anyway, the Quakers appear to be much healthier entering 2009-10 than they were last year. Only senior forward Justin Reilly missed the team’s annual Red and Blue Scrimmage this week, and senior guard Darren Smith is back after a layoff spanning nearly two full years because of injuries.
