<center><b>A Big 5 legend.</center></b>

A Big 5 legend is gone.

He was best known for coaching the Detroit Pistons to back-to-back NBA titles, and for coaching the legendary Dream Team that won Olympic gold in 1992, but Chuck Daly cut his teeth in the 1970s as Penn’s head coach. In six seasons in UCity from 1971-77, he went 125-38, won four Ivy titles, three Big 5 championsips and twice went undefeated against the city. We’ll post more as some of the local rememberances are written this weekend, but for now here’s what the Detroit Free Press has posted on its web site. R.I.P.
