Drexel’s shooting sure was foul
The Dragons sure didn’t do much from the field. They made just 29.1 percent of their shots, including 22.7 percent from the arc. They trailed by seven with 15 minutes left. And they won, 55-47, largely because they made 18 of 26 free throws, while Cal State Northridge was just 2-for-5 from the line. Tramayne Hawthorne was just 3-for-17, including 2-for-13 on 3s. But Scott Rodgers made all six of his free throws down the stretch to cinch the win. Drexel is now 2-1, and it hosts George Mason in its Colonial Athletic Association opener on Saturdaty at 4:30.
