The Quakers were just 6 of 26 from the arc (23.1 percent), including 2-for-16 (12.5 percent) in the second half of a 73-63 loss at Albany on Saturday night. The Great Danes — and that’s such a great nickname — made 62.5 percent of their shots after the half. Tyler Bernardini scored 19 for Penn (1-4), while freshman point guard Zack Rosen had eight assists to go with his 12 points. And it gets no easier with Villanova playing at the Palestra tomorrow night at 8.

This morning, Glen Miller, the Quakers’ coach, noted the injuries that have plagued Penn so far. “The entire junior class” as he noted, is out. He hopes to have 6-9 Andreas Schreiber back soon, and said it could be a matter of weeks until Darren Smith and 6-8 Justin Reilly are back in the rotation.
