Drexel gets … Cal State Northridge
The Dragons have been off for nine days, ever since that Nov. 22 blowout loss at Georgetown. Tonight at 7 at the DAC, they get Cal State Northridge, which is in the midst of a six-game road trip covering more than 4,000 miles in the last two weeks. The Matadors — another cool name, by the way — have already played Stanford, Cal State Bakersfield, New Mexico and Rider on the trip. They conclude their jaunt at No. 7 UCLA on Sunday. CSN has lost all four games since beating Cal Lutheran in its opener. This is not a bad team, however. The Matadors were picked (almost unaniumously) by the Big West coaches and media to win the league. Senior point guard Josh Jenkins is just 5-10, but he leads the team in scoring (12.4 ppg) and has 27 assists and 10 steals. Sports Illustrated predicted CSN to land in the NCAA Tournament. And that’s all we’ve got. Want more Cal State Northridge facts? Read this. And don’t forget to check back with BIG FIVE POST for tomorrow’s recap. Ya’ll have been great, really.
